I am somewhat of a neat-freak, and I LOVE a nice, clean, organized grid. Apparently, the best way to make a grid supremely interesting and eye-catching, is to make it out of chocolate. Go figure, chocolate is always the answer.
It was weeks before Valentines Day, and I fell in love with the idea of taking something SO predictable and familiar (and dare I say, tacky) and turning it into something AWESOME, simply by changing the scale. There was just something so whimsical about it – a simple, classic, GIANT box of chocolates in someone’s home. I had to make it happen.
I ran to the store and bought a variety of chocolates to experiment with. I literally placed them on a white canvas so that I could see a tiny mockup of my vision. My kids were incredibly impressed with this entire project.
On a personal level, you should know that I am a chocoholic. It is the first and last thing I eat every single day, for better or for worse (but for better, right?) – so this painting is basically my spirit animal. Art + chocolate + grid. Does it get any better?
We ship unframed work internationally. All prints are made to order, one by one. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for your order to be completed before shipping. Since all of the artwork is prepared by hand, one by one, buyers generally don't mind waiting for a piece that has been carefully and specifically made for them. Especially these days, looking forward to something like that can be super exciting!
